The fiftieth annual meeting of the Louisiana Historical Association will be held March 13-15, 2008 in Lafayette, Louisiana.  The annual meeting brings together the members of LHA in a friendly forum of Louisiana scholarship and academic integrity.

The annual meeting is more than a series of panels for scholars to present their research.  The Louisiana Historical Association’s many committees meet and discuss publications, nominations and teaching.  The Annual Banquet will be held Friday evening, March 14, 2008, at 7:00.

Presentations should run approximately twenty to twenty-five minutes in two-paper sessions, fifteen minutes in three-paper sessions. Individuals will be informed of the status of their respective proposals by mid-October.
