Acadian Village in Lafayette, Louisiana;
Speaking French just like in Acadia;
Different merchandise in the gift shop. Talking about the weather in March;
Visiting the houses in the village. Kristi Guillory singing Bayou Pon Pon;
La maison Bernard--le plus ancien 1800 avec l'addition en 1840;
Religious items;

Le garçonier (boys slept in the attick, girls slept in the house);

Speaking with A.J. LeBlanc. Shared family names between Cajuns and Acadians;
A.J.'s trip to Canada last August. Seeing the resemblance and hearing the same stories;
Saving Louisiana's coast. Getting 10 Acadians to come and telling them they get half of all the land they recycle. Louisiana would be in South America;
Fighting to keep the French language;
Making Cajuns believe speaking French made them basse-classe. Getting paid twice as much for being bilingual;
Dudley LeBlanc--Hadacol. 1930-1935, people didn't take vitamins. 18% alcohol in Hadacol. Selling his medicine all over the country except in the North (same formula as Geritol);
Using Hadacol box tops to go see shows with Minnie Pearl, Dorothy Lamour, Hanks Williams Sr., all the big actors;
Groucho Marx's program;
Dudley's Sunday afternoon radio show/newscast. People had stopped going to mass to listen to Dudley. Bishop asked him to change it to 12:30 pm;
People talking about how well Hadacol worked. Lady had rheumatism, she hurt everywhere. 3 bottles a week was helping. Now taking 5+ a week. She no longer worries about who she sleeps with;
Dudley visiting the pope in Rome, Italy. People knew Cousin Dud, but not the guy with the little hat (the pope);
Visiting the U.S. President. Traveling with girls;
