Greg Guirard Collection

Materials from the collection of Greg Guirard - noted naturalist and author, nature photographer, and documenter of life in the Atchafalaya Basin, where he lived the majority of his life. The collection consists of audio recordings with Atchafalaya Basin residents, videos shot in the Basin, and a very large photograph collection (over 100,000 negatives and prints). Thanks to the Guirard Family for the donation of the photo collection  which is still being processed, digitized, and cataloged.
